This article analyzes the imagetic construction/deconstruction of the leading candidates of the presidential elections in 2014, from different media such as weekly magazines (Veja, Isto É, Época, and Carta Capital), campaign materials and publications in social networking; as well to analyze how the portraits of the candidates Eduardo Campos, Marina Silva, Aécio Neves, and Dilma Rousseff were built in these matters. From these elements, it is sought to verify the role of these media in the destabilization of the fragile relationship between the Brazilian social classes that would culminate with the parliamentary coup that occurred with the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff.
